The students at our high school are creative, hardworking, and eager to learn. Many come from low-income households where access to consistent meals and basic necessities can be difficult. These healthy snacks will help ensure that students have access to essential nourishment during the day so they can stay focused, engaged, and ready to learn. When students do not have to worry about hunger, they are better able to participate in class, build confidence, and achieve academic success.

Being a Title 1 school, I do not receive more funding for books, and our students rely on our library because they do not have books at home. I often see students sketching characters from their favorite books, filling notebooks with original comics, or asking me for books that teach them how to draw. Learn-to-draw books help reluctant readers build confidence, support English language learners through visual storytelling, and give creative students a way to express themselves when words are difficult.

The majority of my students cannot afford to join outside private gyms due to pricey memberships. As a result, they often have fewer opportunities for structured, safe physical activity. School-based strength training can help close that gap. Many rely on school as their primary place for structured physical activity. With this new gym equipment, students can work toward gradual progress, such as increasing endurance, maintaining proper posture, and understanding how to follow fitness routines responsibly.

My 7th grade science students learn best when they can explore, build, and create with their own hands. Our classroom 3D printer has opened the door to exciting, real-world STEM learning opportunities. 3D-printed models help transform science from something students only read about into something they can hold, investigate, and truly understand. With additional filament, my students will be able to print hands-on scientific models that make difficult concepts easier to understand and far more engaging.

Our ceramics studio relies on specialized equipment to create beautiful, high-quality student work. Our current collection of ceramic stilts has reached the end of its serviceable life. They meticulously elevate artwork within the kiln, preventing pieces from adhering to the shelves and ensuring an even heat distribution. These new stilts you have donated will significantly improve the quality and consistency of our students' finished work while extending the life of our kiln equipment.

I cannot wait to start the new school year with the supplies I need to teach small groups at standing whiteboards. When students work together standing at whiteboards, they are more willing to take risks, share ideas, revise their thinking, and actively participate in discussions. Learning happens more organically when students can erase their work and make their thinking visible to all group members. These materials help my ability to teach in this way!
